Macildowie are currently looking for 3 Manufacturing Managers to join our respected, instantly recognisable client on a permanent full time basis. Sitting at the heart of the Manufacturing Operations, the roles have direct responsibility for certain areas of production. The roles are 3-shift rotation orientated, and will cover a 24 hour operation, including weekly shift rotations.
The roles sit in a fast paced, challenging environment and as such require tenacious, adaptable, driven individuals…is this you?
Responsibilities:
· Management of the day-to-day activities of shifts
· Managing daily production activities, ensuring goals and targets are met
· Planning and executing performance improvement activities alongside local management
· Identifying and managing resource plans, ensuring adequate levels of staff and skills meet the needs of the facility
· People management, including carrying out PDPs, appraisals, coaching, advice etc.
· Understanding area facility performance in order to maximise efficiency e.g. LEAN manufacturing, 6 Sigma, MQ12005 quality control
· Building relationships with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics
· Involvement in managing department budgets against headcount
· Continuous improvement
About you:
These roles require a proven Manufacturing Manager, with experience in a high profile, major manufacturing business. The above responsibilities will be demonstrable on your CV. A major emphasis is on leadership, and as such you will understand the difference between what is it to manage and what it is to truly lead. Flexibility will be a key aspect of the role, relating the to shift based nature of the environment.
Essential experience:
· Experience in a Manufacturing Operations Environment
· Strong system skills
· Experience in leading and engaging teams
· Degree educated desirable
· IOM or NVQ in Management desirable
