THE OPPORTUNITY:
My client is a rapidly expanding firm of accountants with 5 offices in the Midlands. They are continually growing with workloads ever increasing. Due to the increased demand they are looking to add to their team a strong Semi-Senior to work alongside one of the partners. This is a fantastic position for a hard-working and enthusiastic Semi Senior wanting to work with a friendly practice. This role may suit an individual who has just started out in finance, for example if you are AAT part-qualified. However, given the expansion plans for the business this could also be an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or qualified ACCA/ACA accountant. Applications from qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.
THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
• Production of quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting in the production of corporation tax computations
• Ad-hoc bookkeeping work for clients
• Occasional ad-hoc audit work (less than 5% of the role, prior experience in this area is not essential.)
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Essential:
It is essential you have a minimum of 1 years experience working for a practice of any side in a role focused on accounts preparation. Prior experience working with Sage, Iris or Quickbooks is also advantageous. You will also require strong team-working skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude to work.
