Since 1902, Triumph has been producing distinctive motorcycles celebrated for their style and engineering. They place heavy emphasis on ensuring that their bikes are constantly improving and are built to the highest standards.
With over 100 years of history behind us, Triumph is still a privately-owned British company. Their motorcycles are designed, developed and built at their Hinckley factory, one of the most technologically advanced plants in the world. The Buying team plays a key role in the quality and profitability of the product, sourcing parts and components from suppliers the world over, negotiating prices and contracts, and ensuring continuity of supply.
The role
As a result of continued success within the business, Triumph are currently looking to recruit a couple of Buyer and Project Buyer positions.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the complete supply chain cycle for a set of suppliers, from first point of communication with the suppliers, negotiating prices, expediting orders, checking receipt of deliveries, right through interaction with the engineering team to ensure successful completion of the production process within the set time and financial constraints.
Due to the range of involvement within this role, candidates will need to have good communication, time management and self-motivation skills. You will get to accompany experienced buyers on international supplier visits and will therefore need to be commercially astute.
Training will be provided to help candidates to grow into this role but experience within a purchasing role, preferably within a manufacturing environment will be advantageous.

• Eligible to live and work in the UK
• Able to travel internationally
• Commutable to Hinckley
Desirable:
• Experience within an automotive manufacturing environment
• Ability to interpret engineers drawings
