THE OPPORTUNITY:
Macildowie are currently recruiting for a Category Assistant to work for a leading Retail business based in Leicestershire.
THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is an excellent opportunity where you will be responsible for:
- Providing operational support for all merchandising activities within the Facilities Management category which includes Health and Safety, First Aid, PPE and cleaning etc
- The compilation of a product assortment to maximise profitable sales and growth in the customer base
- To assist with providing product marketing campaigns
- Support the provision of periodic insights into the FM category performance
- Carry out competitor analysis and reviews to provide for pricing strategy development
- Work with the Inventory team to guarantee optimal inventory levels for all products
- Support the Bids and tenders team to create compelling customer propositions including recommended range selections and product pricing
- Assist with the formulation of annual category targets
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Desirable
- Proven track record working within a merchandising role both direct mail/catalogue and e-commerce
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work with initiative
