THE OPPORTUNITY:
Macildowie currently have an opening for a Commodity Manager to work for an established Manufacturing business based in South Derbyshire. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career within purchasing.
THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Full responsibility for a designated portfolio of spend c£30million
· Responsible for sourcing from low cost countries
· Performing key negotiations with suppliers
· Rationalisation of the supplier base
· Working towards KPI’s, reducing costs and building relationships with suppliers
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Prior purchasing experience gained within a Manufacturing environment
Excellent negotiation skills
Ideally studying towards CIPS/CIPS Qualified
