THE OPPORTUNITY:
To join this £1 billion+ turnover organisation and work as part of the Financial Accounts team, being responsible for carrying out all bank and cash reporting and being responsible for preparing the Group VAT return and any subsidiary reporting.
THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Treasury
To prepare data to be reported to bank as requested by manager
To support manager in operating the bank facility
To deal with any banking queries
To deputise for manager in all bank reporting
Prepare and post the cashbook journals for various subsidiaries
Review and manage bank reconciliation process
Report the Distribution company cashbooks on a monthly basis
Deputise for manager in all facility reporting
VAT
Prepare VAT returns for various subsidiaries
Reconcile VAT returns to the nominal ledger
Report the Group VAT return
Review and manage the intrastate process
Review and manage the EC sales list process
Review and manage the domestic Reverse Charge reporting process
Control Account Reconciliations
Reconcile the Microsoft License account on a monthly basis
Reconcile the cost variance account
Reconcile PL Reserve Accounts
Reconcile Sales Journal Suspense Accounts
Reconcile Deferred Terms control
Review Credits Due Control in detail each month
Inter-Company Accounts
Manage the intercompany process
Responsible for administration of online Inter-Company Processing system
Other
Manage and develop one member of staff
Support the Financial Accounts team by taking on additional tasks as necessary
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Minimum Part Qualified in a recognised Finance qualification
Experience in a high volume transaction environment
Large company experience
Exposure to VAT
