THE OPPORTUNITY:
Our client an innovative and award winning UK business currently requires an interim Financial Reporting Accountant for an initial 6-12 month assignment. A key figure in its industry, this organisation is set to grow significantly in forthcoming years and as a result, a new role is likely to be created for a forward-thinking and progressive qualified Accountant.
THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the UK Financial Director the Financial Reporting Accountant will have direct responsibility for preparing half year and year end statutory accounts; preparing and reviewing management accounts; reviewing and implementing technical IFRS and GAAP developments; preparing and reviewing group strategic plans; assisting internal audit requirements of operating businesses and the reviewing of capital expenditure requests.
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Essential:
Applicants must be fully qualified with a strong academic background. A strong working knowledge of UK/US GAAP is essential.
Desirable:
Experience of SAP is highly desirable. Experience of staff supervision/team management would also be advantageous.
