THE OPPORTUNITY:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Qualified accountant to join a global business based in the Leicestershire area.
THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Joining an established and successful team the successful candidate will provide overall support to the business through the preparation of all statutory accounting and financial reporting including tax and consolidation.
The role will become more business facing as the incumbent becomes established in the role and organisation.
This area of the business acts as a talent feeder’ to the rest of the business and consequently there will be excellent opportunities for the progression moving forwards.
· Act as a reporting accountant to prepare all regulatory financial and statutory reporting
· Manage the closure of the annual accounts process, leading on the production of the statement of accounts; ensure that financial transactions are accurately and completely recorded in the financial statements
· Liaise with external and internal auditors regarding the year end schedule
· Responsible for ensuring the business is adhering to regulatory compliance requirements
· Assist the business to actively optimise the cost of VAT
· Support with month end account process
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Desirable:
· Experienced Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
· Financial and business reporting
· Ability to interpret and effectively communicate financial information
· Influencing skills
· Ability to work on own initiative and to manage own workload
