THE OPPORTUNITY:
A market leading company has a vacancy for a permanent Sales Ledger to join their busy team.
THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
To reduce the level of outstanding debt greater than 30 days past due date in the AR ledger, with particular focus on Italy
Prioritise and collect outstanding accounts for cash receipts (by telephone and letter) for a group of specified customers, including some Pan European.
Liaising with Customers, Customer Services, Sales teams and Directors to facilitate payment of debt
Critically evaluate and analyse information gathered from customers and internal systems to match and resolve open invoices.
Develop constructive relationships at all levels of the organisation (internal and external) in order to develop ongoing dialogue with customers and account holders.
To monitor and report invoice queries on customers’ accounts and liaison with sales to ensure speedy resolution of queries.
Maintain and produce concise records to audit and departmental requirements.
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Essential:
Fluent in either Italian, French, German or Spanish (written and spoken) is essential
Proven experience working with Pan European customers in a fast moving, high volume business environment.
Excellent communication skills. Numerate, analytical, organised and resilient.
Able to work autonomously with good judgement when escalation is required.
Educated to GCSE level, preferentially with Credit Control qualifications or qualified by experience.
Desirable:
Professional approach to “troubleshooting” using effective communication.
Flexibility to travel to European sites if required
