Our client a leading consumer retail business is currently looking to appoint a temporary management accountant for an initial 12 month interim assignment.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will include the following core activities: to provide a financial business partnering service to operational, store managers and budget holders; to prepare, agree and review monthly key performance indicators, management accounts and budgets; to support merchandising with marketing and promotional campaigns, project expenditures, margin projections and MI requests from head office. In addition to the for mentioned duties you will also be responsible for various ad-hoc reporting as well as carrying out twice yearly regional stock takes and sales performance reviews.
The successful candidate will be a qualified or finalist level “hands-on” analytically strong and commercially focused accountant with excellent management accounting, forecasting and budgeting experience gained from working within a fast moving business / customer driven environment. Advantageous to this role are strong MS excel spreadsheet and systems skills including pivot tables, v-look ups and what if statements.
