The Opportunity
Macildowie are currently working with a Global Manufacturing organisation based in the Midlands who require a SAP Super User. Working within the PMO, the SAP Super User will provide improvements and support to the Project function and Integrated Programme Management process.
Key accountabilities will include
Ensuring that the SAP Project System operates correctly and smoothly, including the management or all PM batch runs.
Developing the Key User Forum / Community.
Being the focal point for Project system issues that cannot be resolved by Key Users.
Liaising with the Business’ ERP Centre of Competence.
Developing business improvements through integration with Key Users, major improvement project teams
Attending business improvement workshops and providing support to both business and corporate improvement workstreams.
Producing and delivering education and training material to Key Users and / or End Users.
Supporting the delivery of ERP compliance and the development of compliance metrics. Creating, maintaining and driving result for SAP compliance metrics as well as undertaking regular audits.
Participating in SAP User Acceptance Testing.
Person Specification
Our client is looking for a candidate with a broad portfolio of competencies and knowledge from within the following list.
All are Desirable, and the Essential ones are indicated, but no candidate is expected to have all of them.
SAP Project System expert knowledge. (Essential).
Broad understanding of project management processes. (Essential).
PC literate; proficient in Windows, Word and PowerPoint; highly proficient user of Excel. (Essential).
SAP Query / Business Warehouse reporting.
An understanding of the SAP Sales & Distribution module.
An understanding of the SAP Finance and Controlling module.
Demonstrable ability to solve problems.
Ability to develop training materials, train, coach and support others.
Good facilitation / presentation skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to interact clearly and effectively with management.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Self-motivated to deliver on commitments and operate to tight timescales.
Key Qualifications / Experience
A track record of operating as a SAP Project System expert / Super User / Key User. (Essential).
4-5 years of experience in the project management environment. (Essential).
Qualified to degree level or equivalent. (Essential).
APMP or APMPQ qualified.
Experience of Business Warehouse and report development.
Experience of COGNOS.
