Our Client a branded East Midlands retailer is looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Accountant for an initial 6-12 month interim assignment.
As Senior Commercial Accountant within this fast moving and dynamic organisation your key responsibilities will include: to provide commercial insight and financial support to commercial projects; to provide a business partnering and financial information service to buying and marketing directors as well as providing kpi and margin analysis & intelligence to deliver improved sales and product margin profitability.
You will also be tasked with developing long term planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for the commercial team in line with current business needs; responsible for the accuracy of reporting of both the management accounts and the balance sheet in relation to the trading profit of the retail division; to recruit, lead and manage, develop and appraise a fully effective and value adding Commercial Finance team; to be responsible for all marketing cost and income analysis together with commercial finance support for current and future marketing projects within retail and trade divisions; as well as supporting the Head of Commercial finance in his duties and on ad-hoc projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant/analyst to work for one of the regions most exciting and respected businesses. Essential to this role is a proven commercial and analytical background preferably gained from working within a large FMCG, Retail or Distribution business coupled with an aptitude to challenge and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
