THE OPPORTUNITY:
Macildowie are currently recruiting a great career opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join an established but growing Manufacturing and Distribution company in Chesterfield.
THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will manage a spend of between £15 – 20million
- Low cost country sourcing for direct materials and also management of consumables to include mobile phones and company cars
- Analysis of spend across the group, stakeholder management
- Commercial negotiations
- Identifying areas to improve supply chain and reduce costs
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
- Proven track record in a strategic purchasing role
- Experience of low cost country sourcing
- Dedicated, focused and driven to make improvements and deliver cost reductions
- Excellent influencing and analytical skills
