A leading manufacturer with sites throughout the UK currently experiencing year on year profitability and Growth is looking to recruit for a Supplier Chain professional to work closely with and resolve an issues between the suppliers and the internal manufacturing facilities.
Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for supporting and leading supplier development programmes that deliver On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) supply, innovation, sustainability, supplier development of strategic suppliers and ensuring a value added lean culture through all tiers of the external supply chain.
There are currently 1000 suppliers based throughout the UK and Europe and you will be working with between 5-15 suppliers at any one time improving performance so that it is near perfect.
THE ROLE:
• Work with the supply base to ensure OTIF delivery by establishing and proving manufacturing and logistical capability and capacity.
• Support the management of Supplier Non - Conformances to the conclusion of robust corrective actions.
• Lead Supplier Improvement programmes (escalation process), by engaging and supporting the supplier through a corrective action plan that ensures the required performance is proven to be sustainable.
• Conduct comprehensive supplier Quality Management Systems and Corporate Responsibility approval audits.
• Establish and manage improvement actions with suppliers as required to ensure full compliance is achieved.
THE PERSON
Experienced in progressing external supply chains to near Perfect Delivery
Identification of route cause analysis
Strong communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders & external suppliers
Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems
Project Manage manufacturing improvement programmes
Sufficient gravitas and engagement to develop relationships
Highly motivated, methodical and dogmatic
Able to travel extensively throughout the UK
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally engineering based post graduate
CIPS qualified or studying towards
SALARY
£30k - £35k
Bonus 7.5% - 15%
Pension: Matched contribution 4% min - 6%
25 Days Holiday + Bank holiday
