Derby-based recruitmentspecialist Macildowie is hoping to find new positions for over 70 employees ofcredit card company Egg who face redundancy.
Having previously workedwith Egg, members of the Macildowie team were called in to the Pride Parkoffices to take part in an outplacement day, which saw those affected by thecuts getting advice on vacant positions in the area.
The session resulted in over70 potential candidates for new roles, who are now undergoing sessions on CVsand interview preparation with Macildowie consultants before meetingprospective employers.
Commenting on the event,James Calder, director at Macildowie, said:
“Alongside HR and supplychain and procurement, finance is one of our three specialist areas ofrecruitment, so we’re well placed to help those Egg employees facingredundancy.
“The response from theoutplacement day was extremely positive and our team is already well on its wayto helping many into new roles.
“Everyone is all too awarethat redundancies have become more common following the economic instability,but it’s about moving quickly, keeping up morale, exploring new opportunitiesand showing candidates that there are suitable roles for them out there.”
The outplacement day wasalso attended by a number of other Derby-based businesses, including Rolls Royce, Molson Coors and Pattonair.
