Our research suggests that those hiring managers who decide to recruit in December experience a quicker process AND secure the best talent in the market place compared to those who “put it off” until the new year.

Recruitment is an ever changing game, which every company strives to get right. But the age old myth that "I should recruit in January, let's get Christmas out of the way" is a strategy that is getting less and less productive.

The recruitment market in general BUT specifically within Procurement is currently experiencing an acute (quality) candidate shortage – in other words it is a candidate driven market.  Wait until January and you stand to lose out on candidates who are planning and executing against their next career move in readiness for a New Year start.  Those candidates need to be tempted now.  Wait until January and you will be competing with the other employers who have left it until after Christmas to begin their recruitment campaigns.

In fact, most of these potential procurement employees aren't even actively searching. They're simply interested in hearing about the jobs that you have for them.  Heads will always turn for businesses that sell themselves and their opportunities.

That's why at Macildowie, we facilitate your reach-out process to showcase your organisation to the right employee demographic.  We establish their career ambitions and make introductions only once we know your goals and theirs align.

Using these timelines, your ideal employee could join you in January, helping you start 2018 in the  most productive way possible. So why wait?

Challenge Macs, challenge me.  I'm looking to speak to employers who need that perfect employee.  I am certain that we as a business will know them.
