    Responsibilities:

    • Develop comprehensive financial models for mergers, acquisitions, capital investments, and divestment opportunities.
    • Deliver accurate financial projections and conduct thorough business evaluations to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Contribute to commercial planning, processes, and negotiations, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
    • Generate strategic acquisition reports to provide insights and recommendations for future growth opportunities.
    • Conduct financial due diligence to assess risks and opportunities associated with potential transactions.
    • Provide expert oversight and recommendations on lending and funding structures to optimise financial resources.
    • Assist in budget planning and support ongoing financial management processes.
    • Undertake ad hoc projects to support senior leadership, including the CEO, CFO, and Head of Corporate Finance.
    • Collaborate with external advisers on transactional activities, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the Group Finance Function and across the broader finance community to drive positive outcomes.

    Key Requirements:

    • Graduate in Finance, Law, or Economics (desirable)
    • Appropriate accounting qualification e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA. (essential)
    • Must have experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Treasury, or relevant Finance managerial experience for a global business (essential)
    • Mergers & Acquisition experience (desirable)
    • Substantial commercial experience (desirable)
    • Manufacturing accounting experience (desirable)
    • Strong understanding of accounting concepts (essential), including applications in an IFRS context (desirable)
    • A track record of modelling and delivering comprehensive and well-considered business cases (essential) in an M&A environment at pace.
    • Experience of working with JVAs (desirable)
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including SharePoint.
    • Flexibility for occasional travel and working across multiple time zones

    Macildowie are actively seeking a interim Credit Controller to join a well established business based in Castle Donington, this is a full time role with hybrid working available - likely only 1/2 days in the office for an experienced credit controller.

    Job Title: Interim Credit Controller
    Location: Castle Donington
    Position Type: Full-Time, Interim (Minimum 3-month contract, likely to extend)
    Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (with a 30-minute lunch break)
    Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)

    Role Overview:
    The Interim Credit Controller will be responsible for managing the UK ledger, focusing on chasing overdue debts via phone and email. You will work closely with the Head of Credit and a small team of credit controllers, and will initially receive comprehensive training onsite before transitioning to a hybrid working arrangement based on your competency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Chase overdue debts primarily via phone, and follow up with email communications as necessary.
    • Manage and maintain the UK ledger, ensuring all debts are accurately tracked and followed up.
    • Work collaboratively with the Head of Credit and two other credit controllers, one of whom focuses on international ledgers.
    • Assist with cash receipts and allocation of payments to the correct accounts.
    • Support with new account setups and ensure all invoice administration is processed accurately.
    • Pull data from the system to assist with reporting and analysis.
    • Gradually take on additional credit control responsibilities as you get familiar with the role, including liaising with other departments as required.

    Systems Used:

    • Microsoft Dynamics 365
    • Experience with the system is not essential as training will be provided. However, familiarity with similar accounting software would be advantageous.

    Candidate Requirements:

    • Previous experience in credit control is essential, particularly with chasing overdue debts via phone.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage customer relationships confidently.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently after training, with a willingness to ask questions when needed.
    • Experience with accounting systems and pulling data is a plus.
    • Ability to start immediately is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

    Training & Working Arrangements:

    • The first initial 1-2 weeks will be spent onsite for training and system setup.
    • Following this, there will be an opportunity for hybrid working, depending on your experience and competency.

The anticipated duration is 12-18 months, starting ASAP and on a hybrid basis (3 days on site per week - 2 from home). The role has been deemed inside scope for IR35 and therefore they are offering a long term day rate of £500-600 PAYE/Umbrella per day. Alternatively they would consider a salary on their payroll of c£90-100K + benefits.

    Prerequisites for the role are ideally a manufacturing/FMCG industry background and fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). The role reports to the Group FD and manages a team of 7.

    Key responsibilities of the role:

    • To ensure the financial accounts of the company are prepared and maintained
    • Lead the Financial Accounting and Treasury, and Tax, Compliance and Payroll teams to prepare required information at the required standard to the required time scales
    • Reviewing, creating and checking that the systems of internal control are operating to safeguard the company's assets
    • Produce period accounts and other reports to requisite standards within specified time constraints
    • Partnering relevant stakeholders to optimise working capital
    • Maintain and review monthly balance sheet reconciliation's to ensure the Balance Sheet reflects a true and fair picture
    • Ensure company compliance with all relevant legislation
    • Ensure insurance information is maintained and claims are processed
    • Review of various contractual obligations to ensure preferred terms for the company
    • Liaison with External and Internal Auditors
    • Oversee preparation of monthly tax accounting and liaison with the Group Tax Manager
    • Recording, and assisting with preparing the annual company budget. Along with measuring these budgets against actual performance
    • Ensuring suitable archiving is done in accordance with legislation
    • Keep the Finance Director informed of any material or fundamental issues that arise or are discovered
    • Actively contribute towards our goal of becoming a great place to work
    • This position has direct accountability for accurate reporting of financial results, preparation and execution of payments to suppliers (once authorised), collection of money from customer, and the payment of employees

    As a Systems Accountant, you will be at the forefront of our client's finance systems development and integration. Your primary responsibilities will include:

    • Developing and enhancing the current financial system (Hyperion) and integrating it into the new ERP solution (Infor LN).
    • Improving workflows and reporting functionalities within Hyperion to
    • Leading data cleansing exercises to improve auditing and archiving processes.
    • Building a more efficient month-end process for the finance teams.
    • Creating and maintaining process documents and providing regular training and workshops.
    • Acting as the first point of contact for finance systems and supporting the finance systems strategy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support financial projects, including the upgrade or replacement of the Hyperion system.
    • Liaise regularly with IT Business Systems Managers.
    • Enhance systems related to the month-end management account process and budget.
    • Manage ad hoc projects supporting the CEO, CFO, and Group FC.
    • Document all finance IT systems processes and provide user training where applicable.

    What We're Looking For:

    • ACCA or CIMA qualification (desirable).
    • Proven experience in systems implementations and working with Hyperion systems.
    • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and manufacturing accounting.
    • A track record of delivering projects on time.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
