    My client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual who can provide first-line customer service support to all customers via telephone and email communication as well as administration support to all departments within the organisation. The role predominantly includes handling inbound telephone and email enquiries from our external customers.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • To provide an efficient and effective service to customers through telephone and email communication, understanding their needs and requirements, working to exceed these wherever possible;
    • To demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude towards customers and other team members, recognising the importance and benefits of effective team working;
    • Listens to customer requirements and responds in a way appropriate to meet the needs of the customer;
    • Deliver customer service in line with 'best practice'. Ensure compliance to relevant policies;
    • Provide point of contact for customer enquiries, dealing with these through to a successful outcome;
    • To work flexibly and to schedule within a busy department;

    About the Role:
    As Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for overseeing the consolidation of financial statements, reviewing cost and profitability, and managing accounting processes in line with group policies. You will also be instrumental in financial controls, governance, and the implementation of effective frameworks to mitigate financial risk. In addition to your accounting and financial management duties, you will work closely with FP&A, Business Partnering, and other operational teams to deliver essential finance transformation workstreams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Accounting and Transactional Oversight:

    • Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial statements that reflect business performance.
    • Manage cost and profitability, directing attention to key operational and financial areas for improvement.
    • Review and submit Monthly Financial Results in collaboration with FP&A and Business Partnering teams.
    • Oversee the production of Statutory accounts and tax computations.

    Controls and Governance:

    • Ensure effective financial controls and operational processes are in place to mitigate financial risks.
    • Maintain compliance with Group financial control standards.
    • Develop and implement the Internal Controls Roadmap for 2025.
    • Liaise with businesses to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
    • Advocate for global core process development and adherence to Group Finance processes.

    Financial Operational Delivery:

    • Take ownership of central costs and headcount control, ensuring rigorous tracking.
    • Develop a comprehensive Financial Operating Performance KPI Dashboard for transparent reporting.
    • Establish clear SLA arrangements between finance functions and other departments.

    Leadership Role with Key Stakeholders:

    • Lead the management of Group Finance, Tax, and Internal Audit functions.
    • Build strong relationships with external auditors and be the main contact for audit-related matters.
    • Represent the finance function as part of the senior management team, contributing to key business decisions.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Assist with Board presentations and senior management team communications.
    • Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
    • Deputise for the CFO as required.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Essential:
      • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
      • Experience with controls frameworks (COSO) and risk assessment.
      • In-depth knowledge of financial practices, IFRS/Local GAAP, taxation, and cost management.
      • Prior experience in a Financial Controlling role in a similarly sized or complex business, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
      • Highly skilled in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Desirable:
      • Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Power BI.
      • Experience in IT/Digital project delivery (ERP, Data Analytics, System Integrations).
      • Knowledge of Product Development Lifecycles and Capital Project Controlling experience.
