Outside of the workplace Simon enjoys playing rugby and keeping fit; although his ageing bones means he spends more time injured than playing! Other than that his young family of four children keeps him on his toes!
Simon joined Macildowie in February 2022 after 19 years with a blue-chip recruiter as the Associate Director for the Public Sector business.
Simon leads the team that specialises in the provision of consultancy services across their core disciplines of Finance, Procurement & Commissioning, Project & Programme Management, HR and Marketing.
He personally recruits permanent roles within Local Government whilst continuing to build their brand across the UK with the aim to make the Macildowie name synonymous with a consistently, high-quality delivery of services within Local and Central Government, NHS, Education, Charities and Housing.

Sonny is an avid foodie and loves any excuse to try new foods, visit new cities and restaurants and spending time planning weekend adventures with his young family.
After spending 3 years as an internal recruiter for one of the UK’s leading Multi-Site FTSE retailers where he was responsible for recruiting roles in the E-commerce Trading, Digital Marketing and Creative sectors from Entry Level through to Senior Management. Sonny took the plunge into Agency Recruitment for the first time, he joined Macildowie in 2018 and has since been able to prove himself as a valuable member of the Macildowie family being promoted twice in this time, Sonny now holds the title of Managing Consultant and is using his skill set to lead and develop the next generation of consultants.

Outside of work, along with enjoying travelling & visiting different countries, I’m a bit of health & exercise enthusiast! I love the feeling of pushing my body so really enjoy Pilates, yoga, Hiit & Body Combat, plus these all help with my main passion which is running - the freedom of being outdoors is amazing (aside from the occasional injuries!) & am a regular Park Runner. I’m also passionate about charity fundraising & I normally set myself a yearly challenge, which has enabled me to raise thousands for CRUK, Breast Cancer Charities & others!
Tamsin, joined Macildowie in 2002 having worked in recruitment since 1996, and she successfully grew the temporary and permanent finance market in our Nottinghamshire market before deciding to move offices in order to use her experience to develop and grow the Leicestershire, Coventry and Warwickshire Finance market. As Managing Consultant she is also key in providing support, mentoring and training of our newer Macildowie team members when it comes to all things Temporary/Interim.
Tamsin has been one of Macildowie’s most successful consultants over the years, and continues to be whilst working closely with her equally as successful, East Midlands permanent team, her expertise being the recruitment of part qualified/qualified/senior level Temporary/Interim Finance markets across the East Midlands.

In his spare time, Tom keeps fit and healthy and is a qualified Spin instructor. He lives with his wife Abbi and their 2 dogs. He can often be found out for long walks at the weekend in the countryside. He is also an avid DIY’er and loves building rustic furniture from reclaimed wood.

Outside of work Will is a keen sportsman. He loves football, supporting the mighty Leicester City, as well as Cycling across England and hopefully one day Europe. If he is not playing or watching sport he will be cooking or eating food, he is a massive foodie frequently dining out with his partner and friends.
Before joining Macildowie Will was a restaurant manager.
After spending most of his time within hospitality, he is excited to be here at Macildowie.
He is now a member of the clerical finance team.
