GDPR - what does it really mean for your business? (Leicester)

Tuesday, 27 February 2018

08:00 to 10:30

Welford Road Stadium, Aylestone Road, Leicester, LE2 7TR

A recent survey conducted by data management firm Veritas has revealed that less than one third of organisations believe they are ready for the GDPR

To help you to avoid the steep fines associated with non-compliance, as part of the Macildowie 'Academy' series of events, we are bringing together subject matter experts to explain precisely WHAT it is as well as giving practical, top level, advice on HOW to ensure that you and your business are compliant.

In simple, layman's terms, GDPR applies to any business holding any information about anyone, including employees… so if you hold a database containing any personal data – you need to know about the GDPR.

Failure to comply with the new terms of the GDPR will incur steep financial penalties. The aim of the morning will be to provide an open forum where you can digest the latest in the legislation and time to think about it's application in your own organisation.
