About this event
Mental health and wellbeing have become firmly established in the public consciousness. Even before covid, its importance was growing. Since then, it has dominated our personal and professional lives. If you are determined to focus on your mental health and wellbeing in 2022, you are in good company. Research shows that more than ever, people are making personal and professional decisions that prioritise their mental health.
However, achieving positive mental health and wellbeing is easier to say than it is to achieve. Only a comprehensive understanding and approach can make the difference we are after. If you would like new, effective ideas, techniques and strategies to flourish through the good times and be resilient in the face of adversity, this workshop is for you.
The workshop is led by Mark Evans, an experienced coach and therapist with over 16 years of experience working in business, higher education, the Employee Assistance Industry, and private practice. Mark will take you through the six stages of his transformational IMPACT model, which he has developed, supporting thousands of clients to achieve good mental health and wellbeing.
IMPACT: discover why conversations drive good or poor mental health and wellbeing, and how to have conversations with impact to make the difference you are after
MEANING: learn why your emotions are really messages containing vital information about your difficulties and how to receive, translate and respond to them
PATTERNS: identify the unhelpful patterns of thinking, behaving, feeling and relating that underpin issues such as burnout, and learn how to replace them
ACCEPTANCE: discover why 'Fantasy-Reality Gaps' explain conditions like anxiety and depression and how to close them through acceptance
CHALLENGE: understand why the concept of challenge is so vital to our psychological wellbeing and how The Goldilocks Principle of Challenge: not too little, not too much, but just right, can make challenge work for you rather than against you
TRANSFORMATION: learn about the relationship between our Personal Transformation, mental health and wellbeing, and how to get it right and avoid getting it wrong
What to expect?
Mark will share his ideas and take you through some practical, thought-provoking activities. The aim is for the workshop to be interactive, but you are welcome to participate as much or as little as you want—no expectations, just a friendly and supportive space where you can invest in yourself.
