Dr Zara Whysall is a Business Psychologist and Associate Professor at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. She’s also

Research & Impact Director at Kiddy & Partners, a firm of Business Psychologists specialising in leadership assessment and development (part of the Gateley Group).

Zara conducts research and consultancy for public and private sector clients, on topics including presenteeism, leadership development, talent management, diversity management and organisational culture change.

Prior to joining NTU and Kiddy & Partners she spent several years as Head of Research & Product at Lane4 Management Group, a management consulting organisation delivering leadership development, management skills training and transformational change programmes. Prior to that Zara was Business Manager for Psychology at COPE Ltd, an Occupational Health Service delivery and consultancy organisation where she conducted training, research and consultancy into areas such as managing presenteeism and work-related stress, and also managing a large multi-service occupational health contract for a defence sector client. Prior to that she was the psychology specialist in the Horizon Scanning team at the Health & Safety Laboratory (part of HSE), using research and tools such as scenario planning to identify and understand the implications of emerging trends for managing future work-related risks to health and wellbeing.

She has a PhD from Loughborough University, a Masters in Occupational Psychology from Nottingham University, and a BSc (First-class Hons) in Human Psychology from Aston University.

She is a Chartered Psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, is an accredited Test User of Ability and Personality assessment tools (TUA/TUP, previously Level A/B psychometric testing), also Accredited in Hogan Personality Assessment tools, and the Emotional & Social Competency Inventory (ESCI).
