Positive Parenting: Connection before correction event

Friday, 21 May 2021

11:00 to 12:30

Zoom Video Call

This is a 1 hour online session on positive parenting, and how it will change your life. There is no manual to being a parent but by applying simple and effective techniques, you can embrace parenthood with confidence.

The session will be delivered by Stuart Fern and Caroline Muldoon, founders of The Human Flourishing Project who are trainers and thought leaders in all aspects that make us distinctly human. Through an experiential approach, they encourage new ways to think, feel, do and connect with ourselves and our children.

About

“Children learn to grow, feel safe and thrive best when they feel connection” Jane Nelson

During the session, you will identify what skills and values we want our children to learn, how the brain works and we will cover communication techniques that empower both you and your child. By understanding what we are all thinking, feeling and deciding, we can see how small changes in vocabulary can have a huge impact.

Positive parenting gives you the tools to deal with challenges such as power struggles, disrespectful behaviour, attention-seeking behaviour, lack of motivation and drive.

It teaches important social and life skills in a manner that is deeply respectful and encouraging for both children and adults. By adopting these tools and communication techniques, it will help to build healthy, happy and positive relationships with the whole family.

This is an online event and you will receive your Zoom link shortly before the event.

The Human Flourishing Project partners with organisations to help embed values, behaviours and concepts of wellbeing that allows all its members to thrive.
