Job Description
Macildowie are recruiting for an experienced Accountant on a temporary ongoing basis for a minimum of 5mnths, at a very well established, large, Leicestershire business to support their finance team specifically around VAT and Tax.
As Accountant, your role primarily will be to support the Accounting Manager with the VAT and corporation tax accounting and the related transactions plus support with other financial accounting which may be required including fixed asset analysis.
This will include analysis of large amounts data to ensure compliance for Tax requirements, provide support to the financial accounting team, including with the statutory accounts, analyse company expenses for HMRC VAT compliance and complete the quarterly VAT returns
For this Accounting role, your experience must include strong excel skills. It is essential that you have all-round accounting/book keeping experience, which must include VAT. You will need to be able to take the initiative, and also be a good team player and will be rewarded by working for a great manager and business! They have hybrid working 2 days office/3 working from home.
