Accounts Payable Coordinator / Permanent / Enderby / Salary up to £27,0000 / Office Based
Macildowie are pleased to be partnered with our longstanding client who are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their dynamic team within this instantly recognisable, ever-transforming brand based in Enderby.
As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and contributing to statement reconciliation projects. You will work closely with a team of 10 dedicated professionals, reporting to one of 2 Accounts Payable Team Leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Process payment runs in accordance with established procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
- Conduct sense checks on supplier details to verify accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Review and analyse high-volume data, identifying errors or anomalies and taking appropriate action to rectify them.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of VAT regulations and apply this knowledge to accurately process and record transactions.
- Play an active role in driving statement reconciliation projects, collaborating with the team to identify and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues.
- Take ownership of chasing unapproved invoices, liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide support and assistance to the Accounts Payable team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Inject passion and drive into the team by actively participating in team meetings and sharing ideas for process improvements.
- Adapt quickly to changes and evolving priorities, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial records and reports.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar financial role, with a strong understanding of invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier management.
- Knowledge of VAT regulations and their application in an accounts payable function.
- Proficient in using financial software and tools, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review and interpret large volumes of data accurately.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial records and reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
