Attendance Administrator
Temporary position- 3 months
Office based
Monday-Friday
Pay : £12.50 ph
you must have an up to date ENHANCED DBS
Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of all absence and attendance issues
To support administration staff in being responsible for successfully managing pupil absence
To maintain a range of school records and data
To respond to requests for such data from a range of staff in the school
To monitor and track data around attendance and attainment and to use this data to support identified groups of vulnerable young people to show an improvement in these areas.
To monitor and evaluate attendance and punctuality data (daily, weekly, half-termly and termly)
producing achievement certificates where required
In cases of poor attendance and / or welfare issues, to be proactive in assessing the situation and liaising with the appropriate professionals when pupils may need additional support.
To offer general advice to parents and schools on education matters.
To maintain regular contact and establish constructive relationships with families/carers of children in need of extra support, to keep them informed of the child's needs and progress and to encourage positive family support and involvement.
Administration
Monitor admin support systems, procedures & policies.
Ensure all new staff, visitors, contractors and volunteers provide suitable documentation for appropriate checks to be made.
Ensure that both paper and electronic systems are up to date and accurate and meet data protection and GDPR regulations.
Use and maintain relevant IT systems, producing reports and information as required.
Be flexible and proactive in suggesting new or more efficient ways of working and being an advocate of best practice and ongoing professionalism.
Provide admin support to the Headteacher
Support the organisation and effectiveness of governing body meetings and visits including taking minutes at subcommittee meetings as necessary.
General Office
Carry out general office duties such as dealing with enquiries from visitors/parents in person/over the telephone, produce letters to parents, photocopying, filing etc.
Assisting teachers in all aspects of their role, including contacting parents and pupils where necessary.
Support the Headteacher in marketing the school.
Organise refreshments and hospitality at school events and meetings as required.
Draft and produce reports, timetables and correspondence.
