Job Description

Macildowie are working with an established Education provider based in Lougborough who are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Development Manager.

This role will be responsible for sourcing and screening potential customers and businesses. The role will work closely with the business development team to align sales with ongoing client management and high-quality delivery.

About the role:

  • To promote the vision, mission and strategic objectives and to promote the values and behaviours which underpin them at all times
  • To sell courses on offer, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how solutions meet client needs
  • To meet designated KPIs and targets around set by the organisation
  • Identify new clients (particularly those large employers/industries within the East Midlands), generating leads, building relationships, and qualifying leads as new sales opportunities
  • To increase business from existing clients in order to grow market penetration, where applicable
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage accounts managers in next steps, including setting up meetings of calls for prospective clients and account managers
  • Utilise the CRM, cold calling and emails to generate new sales opportunities.

About you:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience of winning new business and client management
  • A demonstrable successful sales track record, both big and small ticket, where you have developed an account base and successfully grown a territory over a period of time
  • Experience of marketing training programmes
  • Exceptional customer relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of the wider business development team
  • Challenges traditional ways of working, encouraging innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship
