Macildowie are supporting a manufacturing/engineering business. They are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner in to their team on a permanent basis. This is a Home based contract - with expensed travel to Central London once a week, you'll work closely with the business, Head of Finance and CFO to provide Financial Analysis, forecasting, project costing, budgeting and insight to improve outputs and support strategic planning.
So what is the job?
- Provide financial support and advice to the business on project costings, including analysis of actual costs, forecasts, and budgets.
- Analyse and report on Work in Progress (WIP) to identify and explain any variances from budget or forecast.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to review project status and cost performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support project costings and WIP analysis.
- Monitor and analyse project expenses, ensuring that they are properly recorded, classified, and reported in accordance with accounting standards.
- Provide input into the preparation of project proposals, including assessing financial feasibility and risk.
- Identify and implement process improvements related to project costings and WIP reporting.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including project managers, operations, and procurement.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices related to project costings and WIP analysis, and apply these insights to improve business performance.
What are you like?
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) - first time passes.
- Must be degree educated at 2:1 or above and have at least B's at A-Level.
- Contract/R&D funded accounting experience desirable
- Forecasting, budgeting and cost accounting experience.
- Knowledge of financial systems
- Contract review process and/or WIP experience.
Package - £50,000 - £55,000 - depending on experience
