Our established MK based manufacturing and distribution client, a dynamic global business with an award winning reputation is currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a 12-15 month fixed term contract
We are looking for a hands-on, operationally and commercially minded qualified company accountant, finance manager or financial controller to be responsible for the day to day running of a small finance function and for working closely with the group FC in maintaining tight and robust financial controls.
The key responsibilities and deliverables of this very important and varied opportunity will include; the management and supervision of three staff including ledgers and payroll, responsibility for the production of both consolidated management & financial accounts including assisting with the preparation and filing of annual statutory accounts, returns and audit processes; to prepare and present monthly MI and sales KPI's; to enhance and make more insightful (through MI and the best use of MS office tools) the analysis of weekly flash numbers including margin, labour, standard costs and customer spend, as well as to ensure the tighter control and management of banking and cash flow requirements. This role will also assume responsibility for producing and analysing monthly and quarterly budgets and forecasts as well involvement in the delivery of a new three year business plan.
The successful candidate will be available to start a fixed term contract in early February and will typically be a confident and commercially articulate self-starter with over 6 years of hands-on post-qualification experience coupled with strong interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
This role will require the successful candidate to hit the ground running and to challenge, facilitate and influence at all levels across the business. A broad accounting skill-set / experience is highly desirable as is an aptitude for continuously improving systems and processes in a dynamic and ever evolving business.
