Job Description
Macildowie are working in partnership with the NHS to recruit a Financial Accountant for one of their sites in Leicestershire. This varied and challenging role will report into the Head of Finance and be responsible for overseeing the financial integrity of the trusts accounts, supporting in the provision of accurate and timely financial and statutory accounts.
The key duties and responsibilities will include;
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with the production of the statutory accounts
- Reviewing and maintaining 12-month cash forecasts
- Control and bank account reconciliations
- Assist with the annual audit process
- Submission of the VAT and other statutory returns
- Other ad-hoc support roles
This varied role and challenging role requires an applicant with strong technical accounting experience, ideally who has worked within the NHS previously. However, qualified candidates with strong financial accounts experience will also be considered.
This band 7 position offers a salary between £41,659 and £47,672 plus excellent benefits and flexible/hybrid working arrangement. The role is being offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract initially so candidates should ideally be available on a short notice period or immediately available.
