Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller for an interesting and growing Milton Keynes business covering a 12mnth maternity contract to help support the finance team, FD & site MD.

As Financial Controller, the role will primarily focus on Financial Management and Reporting & Partnering including:

  • Month end close and accurate reporting (monthly, half-yearly and year-end reporting packs).
  • Delivery of the financial performance management, including ensuring effective internal controls in conjunction with Group function
  • Close liaison with their remote SSC transactional finance team
  • Ensure group accounting policies and procedures are adhered to, and all legal and statutory requirements are fulfilled including IFRS policies are followed
  • Budgeting and reporting
  • Financial Analysis on revenue and gross margin, KPI's, and capital
  • Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Deliver the management accounts producing budgets, forecasts, and working with the Business on plans, and actively providing recommendations.

For this role, the business requires:

  • Experienced Financial Controller
  • Professional finance qualification, e.g ACCA or CIMA.
  • The ability and desire to be 'hands on' and into the detail
  • Strong technical finance knowledge and practical experience of UK Statutory reporting, Management Accounting and Transactional Finance.
  • Highly effective communicator with experience presenting to senior leadership/Exec/C-Suite.

There are no direct reports for this role and it will initially be in the office & then hybrid (3 office 2 home).
