Head of Finance | Derbyshire| £50,000 - £60,000
Macildowie are delighted to be partnering with the Angling Trust who are a c3m turnover not for profit organisation based DE7 5GF looking to appoint their new Head of Finance to lead the finance function. The Angling Trust are a not for profit national governing body who are funded by and work with Sport England as well as partnering with Visit Wales and NRW to promote Fishing in Wales. They are focussed on helping to protect the waterways and the fish which live within them, ensuring their health and protection for future generations.
It is a great time to join with exciting plans for the coming years and you will be playing an instrumental part in both leading and helping deliver changes and projects, which will significantly impact the wider organisation.
Prior not for profit experience or an interest in fishing/ angling is NOT a requirement and they would welcome those with a different background to bring in new ideas to the organisation.
Benefits
- Paying £50,000 - £60,000
- Open to part time - 4 days per week or 4 spread across 5
- Flexible working - 2-3 days required on site with the rest from home (site DE7 5GF)
The Role
Reporting into the CEO you will be part of the senior leadership team and leading a team of 5 individuals. You will be representing Finance in Board and Committee meetings and working at the strategic level - prior experience at this level or as a number one is not a requirement.
Head of Finance Responsibilities
- Leading the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, forecasts, VAT submissions, and year end accounts
- Leading the financial aspects of all tender bids and commercial contracts.
- Managing and developing a team of 5 individuals
- Preparing relevant financial and organisational information to facilitate change
Requirements
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
- Experience managing and developing a small to medium sized team (1-2-1's, PDP's etc)
- Experience leading on statutory/ year end processes and liaising with auditors
- Experience leading the preparation of management accounts, budgets and forecasts
