Macildowie are excited to be working with one of Leicester's top employers in their search to recruit a Head of Group Reporting to lead the existing Group Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Leicester's most ambitious and rapidly growing businesses, renowned for their working culture and dedication to excellence.

The successful candidate for this exciting position is likely to be from a strong technical finance background, likely trained in a professional accountancy practice and qualified ACCA or ACA. As Head of Group Reporting you'll be required to demonstrate first class knowledge and application of technical financial accounting & reporting methods including the ability to inform senior level stakeholders with the relevant information to inform the best strategic decision making.

You'll be familiar with elements of financial accounting & reporting and have worked with complex group consolidations.

Along with your abilities as an accountant let's not forget that you'll need excellent communication skills along with the ability to challenge, influence and persuade a selection of challenging internal customers to support company performance.

The role will be responsible for the production of all financial reporting, ensuring that submissions to all external parties are both timely and accurate.
Act as the lead contact both internally and externally for all audit related queries. Acting as the key liaison and representative to the auditors.
Responsible for the day to day management of a team of 4 - mentoring, coaching and developing.
Responsible for all areas of taxation including VAT, Corporation Tax etc.
Oversight of all reconciliation activity produced by the team including balance sheet and bank recs.
Identifying and responding to developments in financial reporting and communicating them to the business.
Developing internal relationships to help teams understand the impacts of business developments on financial reportingÂ
Developing external networks to ensure that the organisation's financial reporting is best in class.

To be successful, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a varied Financial Accounting background

You will have a keen interest in monitoring the regulatory environment and keeping abreast of all legislative/principle adaptations.

You will be experienced in people management comfortable having career conversations and leading the team on a journey to high performance.
