THE OPPORTUNITY:
Macildowie are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor working for a large organisation based in Leicester City Centre.
The role is full time and offers hybrid working
THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Wellbeing and Safety Partner, the successful applicant will provide health, safety, and welfare advice to stakeholders across the business. You will support in developing and maintaining our health and safety systems, developing and delivering health and safety training and updating policies and documentation.
You will be an advocate for safety, carry out office visits and incident investigations, and will provide advice to stakeholders on a day-to-day basis on a range of health and safety issues. You will also be involved in exciting project work; one of them being the opportunity to lead the business in achieving RoSPA award status.
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Be experienced in providing first line advice, ensuring HSE legislation is adhered to
Have/working towards a NEBOSH general certificate (or equivalent)
Be able to communicate confidently, both verbally and in writing, to internal and external clients
Have advanced IT skills, being able to use MS office, databases, and spreadsheets
Have excellent organisational and administration skills
