Job Description
We are looking to recruit for a Junior Buyer role to join our client who is a Specialist distributor of parts in the Automotive industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain great exposure into the world of procurement and further develop your skills!
You would ideally have at least 1+ year's experience within a Purchasing role, with strong experience in Excel, and it would be advantageous to have used and placed orders through a MRP system. You would be looking for a role where you can ask questions, learn and develop with a development plan in place to get you through to buyer and beyond.
The role, based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, offers hybrid working after the initial integration period, and would be joining an experienced team to support you throughout.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing team, prepare and sort PO's, follow up with suppliers and perform administrative tasks to keep data accurate and up to date.
Role:
- Prepare and arrange PO's
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure activities are done in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Maintain accurate records or purchases, deliveries and stock
- Assist with inventory stock management levels
- Work closely with other departments for their procurement needs
- Ad-hoc admin tasks as required
Ideal Candidate:
- 1+ year in Purchasing role
- Strong excel knowledge, MRP knowledge ideal
- Team player
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Inquisitive and looking to develop
