Payroller and Bookkeeper / Permanent / City Centre / Hybrid Working / £23,000 - £27,000

Macildowie are pleased to be partnered with this longstanding and family-feel accountancy firm based in Leicester City Centre (parking available) on their search for an experienced Payroll and Bookkeeping assistant to join their small team.

The main purpose of the role will be to ensure a consistent and friendly payroll and bookkeeping service is adhered to, giving great service to clients, building relationships and continually looking for ways to improve process.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of VAT clients predominantly on Sage 50 and Quickbooks
  • Posting of sales invoices
  • Purchase invoices
  • Bank reconciliations and journals
  • Taking responsibility for a number of client payrolls
  • Collating the information from the client, to entering on Sage 50 and processing payments
  • Providing appropriate reports, payslips etc to client.
  • Dealing with everything on that payroll including RTI, pensions and liaising with HMRC when required.

The role would suit a candidate who has worked in a similar environment or equally in an SME business where they had responsibility for small end to end payrolls and bookkeeping duties.

The role will be offered on a permanent full-time basis, and hybrid working will be offered following a successful probation period.
