Project Manager - Warehouse & Supply Chain
Location: Derbyshire (with flexibility to work from home)
Hours: Monday - Friday; 09:00am-17:30pm
Salary: Above market average + bonus + free parking (& other benefits)
Our client, a very successful and well established firm in Derbyshire, are seeking a Project Manager with strong Operations experience to scope, plan and deliver a number of exceptionally interesting projects that align to the overall group's long term plans and short-term priorities.
The role will be varied in nature and will work across several disciplines, working closely with a range of stakeholders, employees, and departments within the group.
The role will be represent, report to, and having the backing of the Executive Board and will therefore act with the appropriate authority to ensure the projects are delivered successfully.
The Project Manager will work closely within a small team of Project Managers, who are all similarly focused on delivering business innovations, continuous improvement projects and identifying self-generating business improvements with the direct objective of achieving year on year profitable growth.
The role will require the individual to have/be:
- Understanding and experience of warehousing operations/environment
- Demonstrable experience of delivering projects to the highest standards, and on time
- Be a strong leader and team member, who can successfully work with a variety of skillsets
- Experience of identifying opportunities for cost saving and efficiencies
- Experience of: scoping reports, gap analysis, process flows, audits, risk assessments and project plans
Relevant skills and experience
- Ideally able to demonstrate a working understanding of one or more of: 6 Sigma, 5S, Lean management, Kanban, Agile, Scrum, Kaizen etc.
- Strong Microsoft office skills, including: Excel, Power point, Projects etc.
- Good working knowledge or ERP platforms
