Position Overview: As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and successfully delivering complex engineering projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, technicians, and clients, to ensure project milestones are achieved within budget and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the engineering sector, possess excellent leadership skills, and be passionate about driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project activities, including procurement, engineering design, manufacturing, and installation, to ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Regularly communicate project status, updates, and reports to senior management and clients.
- Manage client relationships, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular project meetings, facilitate effective communication, and foster teamwork across project teams.
- Adhere to quality and safety standards, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) are a plus.
