Accounts Assistant | Long Eaton | £22,000 - £25,000

SME business in Long Eaton is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team during a very exciting time of change and growth. The business has recently been bought by a PE firm, and there will be projects to introduce a new finance system, expand the in house finance function and bring more of it internal (currently a lot of the finance is outsourced) and assistant the management accountant during any ad hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing and coding all invoices so the weekly payment run is performed on time
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing and reviewing of all of the company's purchasing cards
  • Utility accruals and prepayments, using stock management system, petty cash and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Updating fixed assets register
  • Dealing with a wide range of queries from staff and undertaking minor financial projects
  • Working along side the finance manager to make sure all reports are completed to specific time tables
