Macildowie are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our finance team.
Key to the success of the purchase ledger department you will be responsible for generating supplier payments, resolving supplier queries, coding and posting supplier invoices, maintaining records of supplier communications and ensuring that all accounts are reconciled and kept up to date. This role also entails some ad-hoc work providing support to the wider finance team.
THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
You MUST have the below:
Organised, methodical, have attention to detail, thrive in a busy dynamic office situation
Have a good telephone manner, and would be polite at all times to Suppliers and internal customers
Are good with numerical work, and ideally have >1 year's experience working within a purchase ledger team, or a similar financial function within a business
Are computer literate, and are familiar with Microsoft office applications, especially outlook for email
Are familiar with accounting terminology, and understand accounting documents such as invoices and credit notes
Have working knowledge of how a general ledger, and purchase ledger work, and understand the importance of accuracy, coding, and the issues errors can cause
Have a can-do attitude, and be a good team player, as purchase ledger is a small but very important team to the business so reliability and team work are really key
