Assistant Production Planner |SME |Nottingham | £20,000 - £25,000

Macildowie are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading Nottinghamshire manufacturing business to bring you a Junior Planners vacancy. Under the watchful eye of the senior planner, you will be given training and guidance in all things planning, from forecasting to production planning. No prior experience is required, just the desire to learn and the motivation to make the most of the opportunity. You will be responsible for maintaining min/max stock levels for key manufactured parts and ensure component and raw material and packaging availability checking against the production plan.

Work within SAP, Mattec and Excel to produce bill of materials and monitor daily output versus planned output
Take action to minimise labour, colour and tool changes re-packaging in order to increase productivity and make cost savings

Liaise with Procurement, Sales and Logistics to ensure that stake holders are involved with all key manufacturing/production processes and timelines


We're looking for three key competencies in the successful candidate

Flexibility/Adaptability we need someone who will be able to adapt to a rapidly changing set of circumstances and deliver solutions rather than problems. A customer order could change or a machine could break and you'll need to be able to deliver under any circumstances

Communication you will be dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders, in procurement, in sales, in finance, in logistics, etc. so excellent communication skills and the ability to integrate with different individuals is essential

IT Savy this role will involve using SAP, Excel and Mattec so being able to pick up IT skills is essential, especially if you've not worked with either system before
