Macildowie Marketing are seeking an experienced Digital Business Analyst to join a large marketing department for a well known charity in the Grantham area.
This position forms part of a recently revamped digital team which manages the organisations digital presence and engagement with supporters and the wider public. Departments across the organisation are placing an increasing reliance on the Digital Team to support delivery of their objectives from both a strategic and technical perspective.
Working within the Brand and Communications team, the Business Analyst, you will be involved in working on various aspects of their digital estate, from the main web platforms to ancillary sites / services including social and email. Your main responsibilities will be to engage in business solution design activities for both tactical and strategic initiatives working with internal stakeholders and delivery teams as well as external suppliers.
The Business Analyst will develop and support current and future technology processes and be responsible for investigating and analysing business activities & processes and looking to make them more efficient through the use of IT resources (both hardware and software).
-Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
-Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
-Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed: Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, Acceptance criteria
-Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
-Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
-Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
-Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
-Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
-Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
*Sound understanding of transactional websites
*Experience of working within a digital environment
*User acceptance testing of software
*Effective communicator with both senior internal stakeholders and external supplier teams.

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
*Requirements gathering processes & techniques
*Familiarity with MS Project, Excel, on-line workflow systems
*Understanding of project management principles and methodologies
