Business Development Manager - Book Wholesaler
Exclusive to Macildowie, we have been retained to recruit a Business Development Manager for the UK.
The company are the leading UK book wholesaler for customised retail book ranges with clients based both Domestic and overseas, helping to widen their market and reach more customers. Our specific targeted markets are within children, gardening, Art & Craft and Food & Drink plus discounted books. We also have a focus on gift stationary and work with many clients to increase distribution.
We work in a unique marketplace with products and books for niche subjects and have been at the forefront of emerging market demand for these areas. We see the need to capitalise on this marketplace and bring on more clients to this new arena, where we can remain ahead of the market and our competitors. This is the purpose of the Business Development Manager and why it's imperative that this individual has knowledge of the lengthy process of production and distribution within the book whole sale industry.
As the business development manager, you'll be expected to primarily bring on new business. This will include attending networking events, build a pipeline of new sales opportunities and arrange face to face meetings. Also, your knowledge of the market should be pivotal to identify and develop the company's USP's to maintain strength within the industry against competition. We also require you to track and record activity on accounts for weekly progress reports for discussion with the Chief Operating Officer and monitor our progression.
