* Managing daily purchasing activities
* Building relationships with new and existing suppliers
* Day to day Negotiations
* The resolving of any issues within delivery and quality
* Supporting the inventory reduction process
* Operating and updating the ERP system
For a Buyer to be successful in this role they must have:
* Previous experience in manufacturing
* Be commercially aware
* Experience using Excel - Pivot tables, V-Lookups etc…
* Great people management skills
* CIPS or working towards
