In conjunction with a leading local construction company, based in Derbyshire, we're looking for an exceptional buyer to continue the growth of this highly successful organisation. Manufacturing an extensive range of bespoke building products to the commercial development, housebuilding and utilities industries, we're looking for an ambitious, commercial and hardworking buyer to join the team.
You will be responsible for undertaking strategic sourcing activities, supporting the development and communication of a sourcing strategy and purchasing goods, components and services, etc.
You will be acting as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments, monitor market trends and competitor strategies and provide analysis on costs and reviewing cost reduction activities including tracking and reviewing commodity movements.
Other key responsibilities will include preparing reports and updates, developing and managing contractual relationship with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and management of supplier relationships.
