£25,000 - £30,000

The successful Buyer will join an established and successful purchasing function within a market leading organisation. The successful applicant will be commercial in their approach and driven to deliver results and achieve their best.

Key responsibilities:
Control the issuing of Purchase Orders
Review requisitions against standard rules
Management of tender activity
Management of supplier catalogues
Drive continuous improvement in line item data accuracy and coding
Achieve strong, collaborative, and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
Identify all opportunities to progressively rationalise and reduce the total number of suppliers to an optimum level
Internal expert of e-procurement system

Experience Required:
Experience within a procurement position
Experience of raising purchase orders/ invoicing
Drafting and negotiation contract terms and conditions
Use of an ERP system
Managing supplier KPIs/SLAs
Management of the tender process
Proven track record delivering savings
Manufacturing/construction background
