Job Description


Macildowie have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a well known business in the Northampton area. Working alongside your colleagues and the Procurement Manager, you will be supporting the procurement processes to deliver cost savings and process improvements.

You will be responsible for:

- Proactively managing suppliers, cost, compliance and reporting
- Understanding the strategic, financial & operational requirements relating to spend categories
- Understand the external market for specific spend categories
- Source appropriate suppliers as per business requirements
- Work with Procurement Manager to create tender documentation, requests for information, requests for proposals
- Communicating with business stakeholders
- Negotiating, implementing and managing service level agreements and key performance indicators
- Monitoring supplier performance

- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal & external contacts
- A positive, self motivated "can do" attitude
- Strong organisation & planning skills
- Great time management and ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
