Macildowie Procurement and Supply Chain are pleased to be working with an Oxfordshire based client as they seek to recruit an experienced Buyer.
As a Buyer you'll be part of an experienced procurement team supporting the business to deliver a commercial, quality focused procurement service. You'll be managing the end to end procurement process across a broad variety of categories, delivering to agreed savings targets, and managing suppliers' performance whilst mitigating risk.
You'll be working to build strong relationships with the internal stakeholders at all levels to help deliver the procurement strategy, whilst at the same time building the profile of the procurement function as a value focused service.
Key tasks and responsibilities;
Build strong internal stakeholder relationships at all levels, promoting communication and innovation
Take the lead on negotiations, contract development and adherence to best practice and procurement policy
Define and conduct requests for information and tenders in support of the budget holders to find the best sourcing solution to meet business and commercial requirements
Collect and analyse spend data, perform data analysis to identify new sourcing and cost optimisation opportunities
Establish strong supplier relationships at all levels, taking a collaborative approach and working in partnership with key suppliers
Implement and maintain best practices for end to end management of all supplier decisions, sourcing, negotiations, financial analysis, contracting, procurement and ongoing supplier management on your projects
To succeed in the role, you'll be able to demonstrate your ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, supporting stakeholders through the procurement process whilst also challenging and influencing them when required.
In addition, you'll need to demonstrate:

- your great negotiation skills that deliver win-win outcomes
- your ability to work at pace on multiple projects and to deadlines
- the ability to assimilate information from multiple sources, challenging and quickly assessing validity and understand the true nature of a situation
