I'm currently recruiting for a Category Assistant to join a well recognised business based in Milton Keynes. Initially this is a 9 month maternity cover but there is every chance that this will be a permanent role due to the expansion plans that they have. Ideally you will have no more than two weeks notice.
You will enjoy a friendly, open plan working environment and there is plenty of free parking on site. Working hours can either be 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
This role is perfect for a strong Administrator wanting a career in buying/procurement. Any relevant experience would be beneficial.
- Providing admin support to the Category Managers within the business
- Defining briefs for projects, including reporting of progress and financial data
- Assisting with internal and external communications
- Helping to develop intranet
- Assisting with new product development briefs
- Ongoing analysis of sales and margin performance
- Pricing Team
- Commercial Teams
- Solid MS Office skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work to deadlines
- Has worked within a buying/commercial/retail environment
