Macildowie are delighted to bring you the opportunity of a lifetime to join a brand new, exciting start-up business as a Category Manager.
Having developed a unique market offering and business model, Macildowie are assisting in the first phase of the growth process by recruiting the first key hires.
We are looking for a highly commercial procurement professional who can lead strategic sourcing initiatives and develop a business strategy which creates value.
Manage all stakeholder engagement including both meetings and communications to ensure a high level of commitment is secured during the sourcing process.
Deliver category supply strategies that are aimed at delivering key business objectives while satisfying the operational needs of stakeholders
Deliver contractual relationships on behalf of stakeholders that meet business objectives and operational requirements
Proactively manage the supply base at all times to ensure that appropriate relationships are in place
Define and manage key supplier relationships to deliver breakthrough performance in cost, service and quality, including technical input to negotiations on strategically significant contracts and negotiation and management of third part service providers
For this role, you will need to be educated to degree level and have a CIPS qualification. You will also be highly versed in MS Office as well as ERP, MRP and CRM platforms.
You will need to have held a similarly strategic sourcing role which involved the delivery of a category-specific sourcing strategy. This will include extensive stakeholder management and an ability to demonstrate creative procurement strategies which add value as well as cut cost.
You will be a highly commercial individual with an appreciation of how procurement can be utilised to create value in an organisation
